Washington D.C.- Congressman Steve King (R-IA) today announced that efforts to force the House of Representatives to vote on legislation providing for a 100% repeal of “Obamacare” continued to gain momentum, with the addition of the 153rd signature. Once the discharge petition reaches 218 signatures, Speaker Pelosi will not be able to prevent the repeal legislation from receiving, and passing, a vote on the floor.
“Efforts to repeal the deeply unpopular ‘Obamacare’ bill continue to gather momentum,” said King. “We now have 153 Members of the House of Representatives on record calling for full repeal of ‘Obamacare’, including Republican Leader Boehner, Republican Whip Cantor and GOP Conference Chairman Pence. I expect these numbers to continue to swell."

DENVER -- Colorado's Personhood Amendment 62 will hold a press conference on Monday, July 26, to announce the Amendment 62 campaign strategy and campaign message, and to release their first radio ad to the media.
Speakers will include Dr. Alan Keyes, Walter Hoye, Founder of the California Civil Rights Foundation, and Bishop Phillip Porter, Founder of All Nations Pentecostal Church. These national leaders will attest to the dehumanization of children in the womb, and explain the Amendment 62 campaign message.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Freedom Riders as they launch an exciting crusade that seeks to bring to the forefront the need to secure the equal rights of all human beings. With the blessings of God, we hope to see this effort spread across the country and into every community.
“Like their forebearers in the civil rights movement, those embarking on Freedom Rides this weekend will be taking a public stand for truth, justice and equal protection under the law.
“The pro-life movement is indeed the civil rights movement of the 21st century. More and more Americans are rising up against oppression of the weakest and most helpless among us, and taking a stand for freedom. Let this Freedom Ride across the country be a clarion call for all people of good will to join together to work for the day when America recognizes the dignity and personhood of all human beings – in particular, the preborn and other vulnerable persons.
