Washington's complete waste of valuable time

Thursday, February 25. 2010

If I was in Congress, and had been invited to Barack Obama's six hour socialized health care marathon today, my participation could have been concluded in thirty seconds.

Here's the statement I would have made:

In consideration of the fact that no power over health care is enumerated in the Constitution of the United States, the sacred document that every person in this room has sworn to uphold and defend, I emphatically vote NO on any plans any of you have in this area.

Any more talk about this is a complete waste of valuable time that we could be using to do our real job, which is to protect the American people's rights to life, liberty, and private property.

Come talk to me when you are ready to honor your oath and support bills that immediately terminate all federal government involvement in areas over which we have no lawful jurisdiction.

Good day.

Which would have been followed immediately by my departure.
