NEW S.T.O.P.P. WEB SITE A TOOL FOR ACTIVISM AGAINST PLANNED PARENTHOOD
'The Personhood Imperative'

Washington, DC – American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP) project has just rolled out a new web site designed to give communities and grassroots groups the tools they need to remove Planned Parenthood’s vise-like grip on public schools, communities and tax dollars.
“We’re confident that easier access to STOPP’s wealth of information and proven strategies will be a tremendous aid to the thousands of activists nationwide working to kick Planned Parenthood out of their communities,” said Rita Diller, STOPP’s national director.
STOPP has been fighting against Planned Parenthood since 1985. In 1993, Planned Parenthood publicly announced its goal of having 2,000 facilities in the U.S. by the year 2000. Due, in large part, to STOPP’s work with local communities, Planned Parenthood never achieved that goal. It has gone from 938 non-express clinics in 1995 to 797 today.
The new web site also focuses on STOPP’s new prayer campaign, “Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary,” and contains STOPP’s most recent e-newsletters (The Wednesday STOPP Report), analyses, media releases and news stories, as well as easy access to STOPP’s extensive statistical resources and reference materials.
The Map Room feature lets users explore information about regularly scheduled protests outside of Planned Parenthood facilities the country.
“We will be constantly adding materials and updating the site,” Diller added. “Together, we will make this web site your primary toolbox for getting Planned Parenthood out of town.”
STOPP was the first organization dedicated solely to eliminating Planned Parenthood and was also the first to establish grassroots activism groups to counter Planned Parenthood at the local level.
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. Founders' Quotes
'America's Heroes, America's Principles'
"As parents, we can have no joy, knowing that this government is not sufficiently lasting to ensure any thing which we may bequeath to posterity: And by a plain method of argument, as we are running the next generation into debt, we ought to do the work of it, otherwise we use them meanly and pitifully. In order to discover the line of our duty rightly, we should take our children in our hand, and fix our station a few years farther into life; that eminence will present a prospect, which a few present fears and prejudices conceal from our sight."

Personhood Mississippi responds to lawsuit against right to life and right to vote in Mississippi
'The Personhood Imperative'
July 14, 2010
Keith Mason
ACLU and Planned Parenthood attorneys have filed an injunction against the Mississippi Secretary of State, seeking to disallow Mississippi voters from voting on the Mississippi Personhood Amendment.
Amendment sponsors and volunteers exceeded state signature requirements on February 17, becoming only the fourth successful ballot initiative since 1992. The one-sentence amendment reads, “The term ‘person’ or ‘persons’ shall include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning or the functional equivalent thereof.”
“I find it ironic that the plaintiffs would wait until the first day the court is open after Independence Day, then file a lawsuit that seeks to continue the oppression of the preborn and deny the rights of over 130,000 Mississippi voters,” commented Steve Crampton, renowned Liberty Council Constitutional Attorney.
In regards to the injunction, Lt. Governor Phil Bryant said, “It is unfortunate that certain people would want to block the protection of innocent human life here in Mississippi by filing suit. Not only are they trying to stop pro-life policy but are also trying to deny the voters of Mississippi an opportunity to voice their beliefs on this issue. Those of us who believe there is nothing as important as protecting the unborn will continue to fight to give Mississippians the right to vote to end abortion in our state.”
The ACLU has also joined forces with Planned Parenthood in Nevada, Missouri, and Alaska, employing similar tactics to keep Personhood petitioners and voters from exercising their Constitutional rights. In those states, despite costly delays, the courts have yet to issue a ruling.
“As to the statement that we are ‘redefining a fertilized egg as a person’ it has always been the practice of those who want to deny rights to others to use terminology to dehumanize them. There is no such thing as a fertilized egg, as the new life they are referring to is no longer an egg but a person with his or her own DNA,” explained Les Riley, sponsor of the Mississippi Personhood Amendment. “Further, The ACLU and Planned Parenthood attorneys allege that the one-sentence amendment modifies the Bill of Rights, yet the proposed amendment does not modify any section of the Bill of Rights, it simply clarifies to whom those rights apply. We are not in any way ‘amending’ the Bill of Rights. We do not strike out, insert, substitute any words, or formally alter the current Bill of Rights in any way.”
Continued Riley, “This is clearly a preposterous lawsuit, intended to interfere with Mississippi citizens’ right to vote, and to protect Planned Parenthood’s abortion cash cow. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are seeking to protect Planned Parenthood’s one billion dollar a year profit, while Mississippi voters are seeking to protect innocent life. We intend to fight this suit, defending our rights as Mississippi voters and the most basic right of preborn children, the right to life.”

TMLC: Dearborn Declares War on the Four Christian Missionaries; They Respond—A Must See Video
Free the First Amendment Committee
Thomas More Law Center
ANN ARBOR, MI – In an unprecedented and astonishing development, the City of Dearborn, through its mayor and its official website, has personally attacked the four Christian missionaries arrested at the annual Arab International Festival on June 18, 2010. The Mayor’s intrusion into the case destroyed whatever semblance remained of an unbiased and professional law enforcement action following the illegal seizure of video cameras to prevent recording of the events surrounding the arrests.
One of the Christian missionaries, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, MD, tore apart the mayor’s five page statement attacking the missionaries. “Oh Really, Mayor O’Reilly?” [Click here to see video]
Dr. Qureshi was engaged in a peaceful dialogue with several Muslim youths. The other three missionaries were merely videotaping the conversation when the Dearborn police moved in, seized the cameras, and then made the arrests.
The four Christian missionaries were arraigned on criminal charges on Monday morning, July 12, in Dearborn’s 19th Judicial District Court. The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan is representing all of the Christian missionaries.
The Thomas More Law Center defends and promotes America’s Christian heritage and moral values, including the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life. It supports a strong national defense and an independent and sovereign United States of America. The Law Center accomplishes its mission through litigation, education, and related activities. It does not charge for its services. The Law Center is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, and is recognized by the IRS as a section 501(c)(3) organization. Louisiana AIP Affiliates Endorse Candidate Kristian Magar for LA 3rd District, US Congress
America's Independent Party of Louisiana
July 14, 2010
To the People of Louisiana,
America's Independent Party Affiliates in Louisiana enthusiastically endorse the 2010 candidacy of Kristian Magar for the United States House of Representatives for the People of our beautiful 3rd District in the State of Louisiana!
Kristian believes, as does our party, that the source of our claim to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” is our Creator, God, as stated in the Declaration of Independence and that the rights in our Constitution depend upon those same unalienable rights. Kristian also has the moral vision to recognize that with these rights we have a duty to protect and fight for them if we are to keep them alive and “secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our Posterity” as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution. Kristian, a devoted family man and hard working, successful oilfield business manager, heard the call to defend his country and is answering that call. As he states, he “is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, social and fiscal conservative candidate” and “not a career politician”.
Kristian understands the importance of the freedoms our Constitution gives, such as religious freedom and the right to bear arms. He understands that borders must be protected and our country defended. Kristian has served in the Louisiana Army National Guard where he became an officer and obtained an education in Army values, discipline, and leadership. He understands and has seen firsthand, while working abroad, that a socialized medical system is vastly inferior to what we have enjoyed in the US. He is strongly against any private industry becoming "nationalized".
Kristian believes that the most fundamental of our unalienable God-given rights is the right to Life, and that our government has failed in protecting this right for the millions of innocent children aborted in this country. He realizes the national scandal of legalized abortion and as he states, “we must honor God’s law if we seek his blessing” and that “government’s one true purpose … defined in the Declaration of Independence ... is simply to protect our rights”.
On party status, as stated on his website, "Kristian is running in the Republican primary, but he is an independent thinker who wants voters to evaluate his candidacy based on his positions on the issues as well as his principles and values." Kristian has affiliated with the AIP party. AIP endorses candidates based on principle, not on party.
On the coastal protection and restoration issue, Kristian has listened to State Representatives from the district and a levee board official and has developed a keen insight on the problem. As stated on his web site, “I do not believe that we should have to ask the federal government for permission to protect our coastline. As your representative I will work to remove the barriers of federal bureaucracy that hinders the swift development of coastal restoration projects.”
You can learn more about Kristian and his campaign at: http://www.kristianmagar.com/index.php.
For these reasons, and many more, we urge all Louisianians to lend their prayers, time, energy, financial resources, and VOTES to Kristian Magar and his campaign. Do your state, our nation, and our posterity a huge favor by doing your civic duty to help elect Kristian Magar as your US District 3 Representative.
On behalf of the Louisiana Affiliates,
Randal Caffery

Marriage, the Family, and Private Property: The Natural, Essential Basis for Our Civilization
LifeandLibertyReport.com
July 14, 2010
Tom Hoefling
"As long as Property exists, it will accumulate in Individuals and Families. As long as Marriage exists, Knowledge, Property and Influence will accumulate in Families." --John Adams, letter to Thomas Jefferson, 1814
The natural family is the foundation of our civilization, with the God-given institution of marriage as its cornerstone. Take away those indispensable building blocks and the whole edifice falls down. Instead of civilization you’re left with an immoral, unorganized, unmotivated, unproductive, selfish, impoverished, starving, shivering, mob.
That’s why America’s founders stated as their ultimate purpose “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” That’s what our Constitution is all about. It’s the purpose of government. It’s what every individual who takes the oath of office, at every level and in every branch, swears to uphold and defend.
Conservatives sometimes mock the Left for their incessant mantra of “it’s for the children.” For very good reasons, of course. The Left is obviously not sincere. Their refrain is quite evidently phony, because the destructive socialist policies they push actually harm the children, the family, marriage, and the free economics of the household.
But, just because there are counterfeits that doesn’t mean there is not the real thing as well.
Everything we do really should be for the children, and our children’s children. In the earthly sense, when all is said and done, it’s all that really matters.
But in America today we have a political class that is trying with all its might to do the exact opposite. They are steadily chipping away at that foundation. By attacking the institution of marriage they are undermining the basis for our society, our form of government, our liberty, and our economy. And, through their support for the mass murder of thousands of children every day in the abortuaries, they’re even destroying Posterity itself.
We must drive any who will not keep their oaths to defend the unalienable right to life of every innocent person, from the moment of their creation, out of public office, at every level and in every branch.
We must utterly reject any politician who refuses to support and defend marriage and the natural family, or to tries to redefine it into something it has never been, nor can be in the natural order of things.
We must attack and eliminate every government policy that has any detrimental effect on the free exercise of the economy of the household and of private property.
Secure the foundations and most everything else will be easy, comparatively-speaking.
Or, as a people, we will have to face the dire implications of the unanswered scriptural question:
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Go read Psalm 11, from which that verse is drawn. It’s as timely as today’s news.
And therein you will find the only answer for the salvation and survival of the country we love, the source of our national motto:
“In the LORD put I my trust…”

NAACP: "Hardcore White Supremacists" Behind Tea Party
America's Independent Tea Party Activists
Monday, July 12, 2010
Kristinn Taylor
The National Association for the Advancement for Colored People (NAACP) is accusing the Tea Party movement of being led by "hardcore white supremacists." The charge is made in an anti-Tea Party resolution to be voted on at the group's annual convention being held in Kansas City this week.
The Los Angeles Times reported on the incendiary race-baiting rhetoric being used by the NAACP to stoke racial tensions ahead of the November elections:
The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution at its annual convention condemning the "tea party" movement for harboring "racist elements that are a threat to our democracy," a spokeswoman for the civil rights organization said Monday.
The proposed resolution states that the "movement is not just about higher taxes and limited government but something that could evolve and become more dangerous," NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell said. Delegates gathering in Kansas City, Mo., will consider the resolution as early as Tuesday.
...The proposed resolution asserts that "hardcore white supremacist organizations have participated in and occasionally lead tea party rallies." McDowell said the statement was based on academic research on the tea party movement and referred to a faction within the larger movement.
The Kansas City Star first reported on the proposed resolution last night.
Other parts of the resolution accuse the Tea Party movement of racism for criticizing Barack Obama and other politicans:
•Tea party supporters have engaged in “explicitly racist behavior” and “displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and [Alleged] President Barack Obama specifically.”
•Tea party activists have used racial epithets, have verbally and physically abused black members of Congress and others, and have been charged with threatening public officials.
Two months ago, the NAACP verbally attacked Kenneth Gladney, a Black man assaulted by unions goons at a Tea Party protest in Missouri last year, as an "Uncle Tom."
Gateway Pundit reported on the racist NAACP comments:
Back in the day, we used to call someone like that, and I want to remind you, uh, when this incident occurred, I was really struck by a front page picture of this guy, which we called, a Negro, I mean that we call him a Negro in the fact that he works for not for our people but against our people. In the old days, we call him an Uncle Tom. I just gotta say that. Here it is, the day after a young brother, a young man, I didn’t mean to call him a brother, but on the front page of the Post Dispatch, ironically, he’s sitting in a wheelchair, being kissedote to on the forehead, by a European. Now just imagine that as a poster child picture, not working for our people.
The NAACP resolution being launched at the Tea Party comes just after the formation of the One Nation coalition of 170 leftist groups which includes the NAACP and other racist organizations like the National Council of La Raza.
The groups are banding together ahead of the November elections in an effort to thwart a perceived rout of the Democratic party and the leftist Obama agenda at the polls. With Blacks being the only major voter demographic holding strong for Obama with over ninety percent support, the left sees it as imperative to race-bait Blacks so they will turn out to vote in numbers like they did two years ago for Obama.
Otherwise, with support from the rest of the nation for Obama in the high 30s and many Black voters consigned to gerrymandered districts that favor Democrats, the left faces a historic defeat four months from now.-----

North Carolina Speaker Bans Prayer "In Jesus Name"
America's Independent Party of North Carolina
By Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt
July 11, 2010
Speaker Joe Hackney of the North Carolina State House has banned the word "Jesus" as illegal speech during public prayers offered by volunteer pastors before legislative meetings.
I just spoke personally with my friend Pastor Ron Baity, who confirmed a Fox News Report entitled "Pastor Yanked from Capitol Over 'Jesus' Prayer" which reports the Pastor was relieved of his duties as an honorary chaplain of the state house of representatives after he closed a prayer by invoking the name of Jesus.
"I got fired," said Ron Baity, pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He had been invited to lead prayer for an entire week but his tenure was cut short when he refused to remove the name Jesus from his invocation.
Baity’s troubles began during the week of May 31. He said a House clerk asked to see his prayer. The invocation including prayers for our military, state lawmakers and a petition to God asking him to bless North Carolina.
"When I handed it to the lady, I watched her eyes and they immediately went right to the bottom of the page and the word Jesus," he told FOX News Radio. "She said 'We would prefer that you not use the name Jesus. We have some people here that can be offended.'"
When Baity protested that he himself would be offended if the government ordered him to deny Christ, she brought the matter to the attention of House Speaker Joe Hackney personally.
Speaker Hackney then decided Pastor Baity to disinvite Pastor Baity, that he could pray that day only, but would not be allowed to pray again in the future, and the pastor's services were terminated for the remainder of the week, because he prayed "in Jesus' Name."

CO PERSONHOOD MOVEMENT LAUNCHES CUTTING-EDGE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
'The Personhood Imperative'

Washington, DC – American Life League president Judie Brown congratulated the organizers of Colorado’s human personhood campaign on the launch of their new Internet tool: My Campaign Tracker.
“We’re very excited to see this new resource that will help spread the Amendment 62 campaign’s simple yet profound message: EVERY human being should be recognized as a person and protected under the law,” Brown said.
My Campaign Tracker provides suggestions for grassroots campaign activism and allows users to track their work in support of Amendment 62 and connect with other campaigners.
Supporters then can watch in real-time as their grassroots efforts are recorded and multiplied across the Johanna Dasteel, director of American Life League’s personhood project, has spent the last month in Colorado assisting the campaign’s educational outreach.
“We’re working to obtain recognition of the most basic human right of all,” Dasteel said. “Human beings are persons – not property. If we’re serious about civil rights, if we’re serious about equality and the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence, then we have to reconcile the law with our American ideals: Every human being has a right to be recognized and protected as a person – now.”
Amendment 62, cosponsored by Colorado Right to Life and Personhood Colorado, reads as follows:
“Person defined. As used in sections 3*, 6**, and 25*** of Article II of the state constitution, the term ‘person’ shall apply to every human being from the beginning of the biological development of that human being.”
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. Grace and Truth - DAVID JEFFERS
AIP is 'Always In Prayer' Network
July 12, 2010
David Jeffers
That will be the subject of a series of devotionals I will be doing. It's the theme for our church this year, grace and truth:
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
This series will begin in August; I am taking a hiatus for the rest of July. I am finishing my revised, updated, and expanded hardcover version of my book "Understanding Evangelicals: A Guide to Jesusland"; I will be adding chapters on health care, immigration, and the environment. My prayer is to have it available by the end of September in time for the elections to spur on the evangelical voting bloc to turn out in mass armed with a biblical perspective on what true conservatism is, not the white-washed version the majority of politicians, Republicans primarily, with which to deceive the flock. (The current softcover version is available on Amazon.)
In the pursuit of the truth there must be grace. Truth without grace is a sledgehammer; grace without truth is sugar water. We need both and the Bible teaches us how.
While I am on this hiatus I ask that you begin reading the Gospel of John. There are 21 chapters in John's gospel; if you will read one chapter every day beginning today, then when I begin the devotional again on August 2nd, you will have read through the whole gospel.
Will you commit to do that? Can you carve out 15-20 minutes in the morning before you go to work? Will you do that for Jesus?
I want to share a link to a message from a Lion of the Faith the late Dr. Adrian Rogers; I was listening to it Saturday night on my iPod as I was mowing the yard. Oh did it convict me so. I pray you will listen to it and allow the Holy Spirit free reign in your heart. Here's the link to the message:

May the Lord richly bless you the rest of this July and please know that I will fervently be praying for each of you (229) while I am on my hiatus.
And as an act of commitment I would so love for you to reply to this email and tell me you are committing to read John's Gospel.
In Christ
Dave

Maryland - Montgomery County - transgender aide sues County under law s/he helped craft
Maryland Independent Party
March 18, 2010
The front page of today's Washington Examiner is dominated by a photo of Rep. Barney Frank standing with a Montgomey County councilperson's policy aide. Headline: "Transgender sues under her own law; MontCo aide charges bias, seeks $5M"
The aide, Dr. Dana Beyer, reportedly takes exception with the county ethics commission's investigation into allegation about Beyer: that Beyer used government position to try to intimidate petition circulators while they were gathering signatures outside a grocery store. Here's how the Examiner puts it:
"After a seven-month investigation by the county attorney, the ethics commission found that Beyer violated county law and called for a hearing. Beyer said the commission used flimsy evidence to reach that conclusion and acted outside its normal practices in investigating the complaint. She said the commission authorized an improper search of her work computer without her consent, leaked details of the investigation and threatened to investigate the circumstances of her hiring, all with the goal of 'embarrassing' and 'harassing' Beyer because of her transgender status."

Note: I was one of the volunteer circulators of that petition, including two stints in front of a grocery store
The Montgomery County law, including the 2008 petition drive, was the subject of thread here at the time:
